A female orangutan named Mona has been lovingly cared for by the Orangutan Foundation for 8 years since becoming orphaned. Today she was ready to be released back into the forest where she belongs. An utter joy to watch and film.

And below is short clip of two very young baby orangutans & a gibbon that were recently rescued from the pet trade by the Orangutan Foundation. They will now stay in their soft release program in Lamandau wildlife reserve until they are old enough to be released back into the wild.
