Keep Access Clear – Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Winner

Winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award 2025. A badger walks past a badger mural beneath a “Keep access clear at all times” sign, creating an unexpected moment of humour and highlighting how wildlife survives alongside people.

This photograph won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award. I spent many evenings watching this badger come up into this dead end road to feed on scraps of food people had left out for foxes. The photograph combines humour with a deeper conservation message as the graffiti in the photo is the Stop The Cull logo.
