Monochrome awards orangutan photo

I’m pleased to announce that this photo entitled wise man of the forest has just received one of the awards in the International monochrome competition It’s a wild male orangutan that I photographed in Lamandau wildlife reserve, Borneo, which is such a conservation success story for the Orangutan Foundation who I’m honoured to be an ambassador for. Beautiful well protected forest and an orangutan release site for animals that lost their original forest home. Over 200 orangutans have been successfully released back into Lamandau with with many of the females now having offspring to further increase the population of these great apes here.
